RCPE organises a number of regional symposia in different parts of the UK. All grades of medical and other healthcare staff are welcome and you do not need to be a Fellow or Member of RCPE, or from the immediate area to attend.

The Aberdeen symposium has been organised by Drs Owen Dempsey, Callum Duncan and Rob Laing and covers topics in Neurology, Respiratory and HIV and Imaging.  The Sydney Watson Smith Lecture is entitled "Taking the rap for the gap in cap and hap: why is pneumonia so difficult?" and will be delivered by Professor John Simpson, Professor of Respiratory Medicine, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.
