RCPE Evening Medical Update Edinburgh + Video linked sites

Date: Tuesday, 19 June 2012

Venue:

Queen Mother Conference Centre
Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
9 Queen Street
Edinburgh
EH2 1JQ

The Evening Medical Update on Tuesday 19 June 2012 will cover Chest Pain (see Programme for further details) and will run from 6.30 pm to approximately 8.15 pm.

The popular programme of Evening Medical Updates (EMU) covers “The Top Twenty” common medical presentations as defined in the GIM training curriculum. The 20 topics are covered in a rolling two-year schedule, with updates held monthly between September and June.

Although aimed particularly at core trainees, Evening Medical Updates are open to all hospital doctors, GPs, other healthcare professionals, and medical students. They are free of charge to all groups.

Updates are held at the College in Edinburgh but transmitted live, by video-link, to a number of other centres around the UK (see Contact details for the current list of venues). The programme allows time for discussion and questions with contributions from all centres.

To attend at the College, please book online, or download a registration form.

To attend at one of the video-linked venues, please contact your local centre directly (see Contact details page).

If you are unable to attend at the College or a video-linked site, a limited number of places are available to access the event by live webstreaming. Please contact the Mrs Anne Fairbairn at a.fairbairn@rcpe.ac.uk

Commercial Sponsorship

Many events are supported by commercial companies taking stand space. Health professionals and NHS managers are invited to visit the company stands during the breaks. Companies interested in sponsoring this, or other events listed on the Calendar, should contact the relevant member of RCPE staff (see Fees and Contact Details page for the event).

Exhibitors/sponsors play no part in the planning or delivery of the event and the College has developed an Ethical Sponsorship Policy to support organising committees and committee chairmen in their negotiations with potential commercial partners for education and other events.
