RCPE Evening Medical Update Edinburgh

Date: Tuesday, 25 July 2017

Venue:

Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
9 Queen Street
EDINBURGH
EH2 1JQ

Overview

The Evening Medical Update on 25 July 2017 will cover Top tips on life as an FY1 (see Programme for further details) and will run from 6.30 pm to approximately 8.15 pm.

It is an extra session as part of the Evening Medical Updates (EMU) programme which covers the ‘Top Medical Presentations’ and ‘Emergency Presentations’ as defined in the GIM training curriculum. The 26 topics are covered in a rolling programme, with monthly updates held between September and June of each academic year.

Each EMU consists of three 30-minute presentations. The programme allows time for discussion and questions with contributions from all centres.

Although this event is aimed particularly at FY1 doctors, Evening Medical Updates are open to all healthcare professionals and medical students. They are free of charge.

Updates are held at the College in Edinburgh but streamed live to other centres around the UK and further afield (see Live Links for the current list of venues).

To attend at any site, please book online. If you are unable to attend at the College or a streaming site, a limited number of places are available to access the event by individual streaming. Please contact the Education Co-ordinator Felicity Garvie at f.garvie@rcpe.ac.uk

Commercial Sponsorship

Many events are supported by commercial companies taking stand space. Health professionals and NHS managers are invited to visit the company stands during the breaks. Companies interested in sponsoring this, or other events listed on the Calendar, should contact the RCPE Co-ordinator responsible for the event.

Exhibitors/sponsors play no part in the planning or delivery of the event and the College has developed an Ethical Sponsorship Policy to support organising committees and committee chairs in their negotiations with potential commercial partners for education and other events.
