Join us for an evening debate on the prevention of serious governance failings within organisations. A series of talks from our expert speakers will be followed by a discussion with the audience. The event will take place at the College on Thursday 19 September from 18:00 to 19:30.
As part of our Quality Governance Collaborative, we will look at how to ask the right questions to avoid governance failings as well as the role of the Board in discharging its duties. We will also discuss how we can share and sustain good practice within organisations.
The event begins at 18:00 with tea and coffee. Speakers will include:
- Keith Conradi, Chief Investigator of the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch, who will talk about how Boards deal with untoward incidents.
- Dr Helen Dormand, Consultant Cardiologist, who will discuss the role of the medical consultant in governance and challenging the establishment.
A 'Q&A' session will follow with the event, concluding at 19:30.
We hope that you will be able to join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening.
