Overview

This year’s renal symposium will appeal to Nephrologists as well as Physicians and GPs seeking an update on current renal practice. Chronic kidney disease is a life long condition and the morning session will focus on transitional services, challenges in long term management of kidney transplant recipients and conservative kidney care.

There has been a surge of interest in B cell therapy and glomerular disease and we are delighted to have our keynote speaker covering the successes and pitfalls of this treatment in renal disease.

It has been an exciting time in renal medicine with the publication of several large trials of SGLT-2 inhibitors slowing progression of both diabetic and non diabetic kidney disease. This important topic will be covered in our clinical trials session, where we will also hear why nephrology needs big trials and hear how to help patients make evidence based decisions about their care.

An interactive session on vasculitis and sessions on how to manage renal stone disease and acid-base balance will ensure the day is varied and relevant to clinical practice.
