We are delighted to present the draft programme for the upcoming SSR Autumn meeting at the end of October which includes presentations from nationally and internationally renowned speakers.
On Thursday Prof David D’Cruz is giving us an update on antiphospholipid syndrome in the Watson Buchanan Memorial Lecture. Among other things the AHP session is going to discuss the very topical issues of the expanding role of the Advanced Practitioner and the use of biologics in complex situations. And for trainees we are going to provide a hands on session on the shoulder.
Dr Helen Lachmann is going to present the keynote lecture on Friday on Adult Onset Stills and periodic fever syndromes. Clinical update sessions from Dr Philip Riches and Mr Neal Millar will educate us on gout and mechanical tendinopathies. And to top it all off we have a head to head debate between Prof Stuart Ralston and Dr Jane Gibson on the value (or not) of ultrasound in GCA.
For fitness enthusiast there is the opportunity to ascend Arthur’s Seat (weather permitting) or have a quick dip in the Olympic pool to wet your appetite before the conference dinner on the Thursday evening.
We look forward to seeing you for what is certain to be an informative and entertaining two days.
Deadline for registration is 28th Oct 2019 but catering cannot be guaranteed after 20th October
