***** Good news! - Athough the live symposium has ended, you can still book to view all presentations which will be available to view on-demand by the second working day after the live event (30th November), for 28 days, allowing you to catch-up in your own time *****
We invite you to ‘get yer kilt oot’ and join us in commemorating our 62nd St. Andrews Day Symposium and uphold its tradition of bringing together healthcare professionals from diverse global origins and specialisms – AHPs, Students, Doctors in training, General Practitioners and Consultants in all medical specialties.
An array of national and international experts will be sharing their knowledge and experiential wisdom on how to manage common conundrums in the workplace, be these clinical, pharmacological; or pertaining to global health, civility, and well-being.
Topics will cover updates on diagnosing and managing conditions, which:
1. Are common yet present complexity, e.g., recurrent infections
2. Have increased prevalence due to population dynamics, i.e., frailty and socio-economic factors
3. Trigger an equivalent ‘SIRS’ response in the managing clinician e.g., dizziness, maternal emergencies, and recognition of rashes and metabolic disorders
We aim to provoke healthy discussion on matters of global health, equity, civility, and well-being; and how well we uphold these values.
We hope to invoke thought on our clinical decision making, in relevance to appropriateness of our interventions.
The symposium promises to strengthen connections between professionals from diverse backgrounds to help enhance skills, knowledge and expertise in delivery of healthcare locally and globally.
