Overview

This is the Annual Meeting of the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) Scotland Division. After a gap of four years we are returning to hold this meeting in-person.

All grades of medical, dental and other healthcare staff are welcome.

The theme of this meeting is Innovation in the Scottish NHS and Celebrating Achievement.

Event dinner:

There will be a dinner at 18:30 following the event (Venue detail tbc), you can register to attend the dinner in addition to attend the full day event, and information about this can be found on the booking form and fees tab.

Abstract submittions:

Abstracts for oral or poster presentations (Research, Audit, Case Report) of a maximum of 500 words are invited for this meeting. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed, and accepted abstracts will be published in the Physician, the official journal of BAPIO.There will be a prize for the top three abstracts: First prize - £200; second prize - £100; and third prize - £50.

This event is open to all grades of medical, health care and dental staff.

All relevant events are approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). A certificate of attendance with CPD information will be issued electronically to individual delegates via email. Please note - certificates can only be issued to attendees who have signed against their name on the CPD Register/Delegate List available at each event and completed feedback forms have been received.

Please note that on occasion event programmes may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

A professional photographer may be in attendance at this event. Photographs may be used by the College in digital and printed publicity material. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let a member of staff know at the registration desk.

Access

The College has a lift at the main entrance and within the building to get access to public areas and historic rooms.

An induction loop system is available in the Great Hall.
