Cardiovascular medicine is rapidly evolving. Guidelines are frequently updated to reflect best care but keeping up-to-date is a challenge.
This symposium will open with a session on ‘What’s New’ in the recently revamped guidelines on Heart Failure, Cardio Vascular Disease prevention, and Cardio-oncology.
Our second session challenges us to consider when to diverge from guidelines in the interest of individualised care. Dr John Mandrola’s Keynote will help us sift through data identifying meaningful therapeutic interventions for our patients amidst the spin of publication.
In the afternoon delegates will attend two of four practical ‘How To’ breakout sessions. These are case-based and interactive offering tips and tricks for managing patients wherever you are.
For the final session we have an expert panel to reflect the views of physicians, cardiologists, general practitioners, surgeons, and patients. We welcome your participation in this interactive Multi Disciplinary Team. Four real cases will be presented. They will challenge the Multi Disciplinary Team to consider the updated Valvular Heart Disease guidelines and individualise treatment in the context of comorbidity and frailty.
All the parallel sessions will also be available to view on-demand, allowing delegates to catch up on all the sessions for up to 28 days following the original broadcast.
This symposium is designed to deliver practical, practice changing, education whether you are a Medical Student, Trainee, General Physician, Cardiologist or GP. We hope you will join us in October 2022
