The RCPE Quality Governance Collaborative is delighted to announce the 2nd Annual International Governance Symposium in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the inception of Clinical Governance - taking place in a hybrid manner on October 23rd and 24th at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and online via livestream.
We welcome all individuals with an interest in discussing, debating and shaping the next generation of quality governance in healthcare – both within the United Kingdom and Internationally. The aim of this unique international symposium is to jointly construct a new inclusive and sustainable paradigm for health governance for the future.
The symposium will consist of a half day on October 23rd with expert masterclasses in the afternoon. On the evening of the 23rd The RCPE Quality Governance Collaborative is honoured to be hosting, for the first time, the Professor Aidan Halligan Memorial lecture*. October 24th will have a full day schedule, consisting of expert keynote addressed and governance sessions – the day will conclude with a round table discussion of the key learning points from the two days.
The RCPE Quality Governance Collaborative considers it a privilege to be taking on the mantle of hosting this memorial lecture from The Staff College: Leadership in Healthcare– who have successfully hosted an impressive suite of thought provoking lectures since Professor Aidan Halligan introduced them in 2013. We are thrilled to announce that Dr Peter Homa CBE, Director General Defence Medical Services will be delivering this special key-note.
