In the wake of COP26, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh will be running a series of short evening webinars on climate change and health. These webinars will consider both the direct and indirect impact of the climate crisis on health as well as looking at the impact our health systems have on the climate and what adaptations we all need to consider and prepare for in our daily practice.
Over this 5 part series we will hear from colleagues and renowned experts from around the world on the impact of climate change within their own local area and beyond, health service and specialty, and the actions they, and we, need to be urgently taking. These evening webinars which are open to all, including members of the public, and free to attend will be held on Thursday evenings at 18.00hrs – 19.30hrs (GMT time)
This is the second webinar in our five part series of evening webinars and we are delighted to have the following faculty presenting on health systems and climate change:
- Dr Emily Broadis, Specialist Registrar in Public Health, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, and Chair of NHS Scotland Global Citizenship Lead Champion Network
- Dr Natalia Kurek, Senior Clinical Lead, Greener NHS Programme, NHS England and NHS Improvement
- Dr Sharon Pfleger, Consultant in Pharmaceutical Public Health, NHS Highland
The series will continue with three further evening webinars on:
