The microbiome seems to be everywhere in modern medicine, with links to a myriad of conditions as diverse as obesity, atopy and inflammatory bowel disease. But what is it, how does it develop, how can we change it, and how is it transforming our understanding of medicine?
This interactive online seminar will seek to answer some of these questions whilst posing others to stimulate thought and debate. We showcase three exceptional Scottish microbiome researchers to look at the following:
- Early life colonisation
- How diet and the microbiome interact
- How an understanding of the microbiome is offering new insights lung physiology and pathophysiology.
This event is aimed at curious clinicians of any grade- from medical student to professor emeritus and everything in between.
Delegates will have the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers which will be addressed live at the event taking place at 6.30pm – 8.30pm (BST)
Please note this online event allows the opportunity for delegates to watch the presentations live, or at their convenience following the original broadcast. This event will be online only.
