We are delighted to announce that bookings are now open for a new online course ‘Moving on Up’ which will be of great interest to senior trainees and recently appointed consultants. This new event has been curated by our Recently Appointed Consultants’ Committee. This event offers half day rates so depending on your career stage and interests you can attend for the morning, afternoon or the full day.

The morning sessions will help prepare the senior trainees for their step into the role of a consultant and will include the following topics
•   Preparing for application and interview
•   What is a job plan?
•   Panel Discussion - How to get the job you want as a consultant
•   Quality Improvement and achieving work-life and work-work balance

In the afternoon the sessions will focus on career progression within your consultant role. Here will be a choice of sessions to give the attendees a broader understanding about the directions they can take their consultant career.

There will be parallel sessions on:

Research – Dr David Connell, Consultant Physician, Dundee
Management and clinical leads – Dr Chris Schofield, Clinical Director for Elective Medicine, NHS Tayside

Cancellation policy

If you have to cancel your place within three days of this event, we regret that we are unable to provide a refund. However, you may nominate someone else to take your place at the discretion of the event co-ordinator.

Certificates

All relevant events are approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To receive a CPD certificate delegates must have completed the online feedback survey. The survey will close 28 days after the original broadcast of the event, with certificates being issued shortly after this.
