Overview
This annual event brings together Scotland’s Global Citizenship community to recognise and showcase the work of NHSS staff and others to promote global health in low and middle income countries. We will be joined by a range of speakers from Scotland and other leading global health organisations to reflect on the learning from Scotland’s enduring commitment to global citizenship.
As well as celebrating the incredible contribution of NHS Scotland staff, this event will provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on the impact of COVID-19 on those involved in global health volunteering and partnership working.
Alongside the event we would also like to invite delegates to submit a short abstract detailing their achievements in advancing global citizenship at home or overseas. These abstracts will be collated in an online book celebrating the commitment and dedication of staff to furthering global health goals as part of the NHS Scotland Global Citizenship programme. You can find the Storybook submission guidance here.
This event will be of interest to those working or training to work in health and social care as well as the wider global health community in Scotland and those with an interest in the NHS Scotland Global Citizenship Programme. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are delivering the event online and attendance will count towards your continuous professional development.
Prior to and during the event you will be able to submit questions via Slido.com using the access code #GlobalCitz20. These talks will be available for 14 days after the live event so you can catch-up on anything you miss live, and in any time zone.
