The RCPE Acute and General Medicine Course is a four-day course aimed at health care practitioners from the UK and beyond. The aim of the Course is to give a broad update on important aspects of acute and general medicine. As well as being of value to hospital based doctors at consultant or senior trainee level, it will also be of interest to community based doctors, including General Practitioners. Allied Health Professionals and Specialist Nurses may also find the course worthwhile.
This year the course will consist of 8 sessions over four full days, which will include updates in:
- Cardiology
- Respiratory
- Acute Emergencies – including a practical session on resuscitation
- Infections
- Rheumatology
- Dermatology
- “A phone call from the laboratory”
- Stroke
- Toxicology
The course will include update lectures by experts on topics of current and practical relevance, with frequent opportunities for interactive case-based learning.
Places are limited, thus maximising opportunities for networking.
It is possible to book the full course or individual days.
