Join the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh for the next in our series of online International Medical Updates (IMU) which brings together experts from Iceland to discuss a variety of topics.
In recent years we have seen amazing advances in modern medicine - from, targeted immunomodulating therapy for cancers, and new diabetes drugs that improve heart failure and promote weight loss, to powerful immunosuppressive therapy dramatically reducing the disability of rheumatic conditions. New medications do, however, sometimes have unusual side effects that the on-call physician may not be aware of. The aim of this online event is to increase the general knowledge of these modern medicines, and how to manage any complications that may arise. You will also gain an insight into the clinincal practice of Iceland, an isolated island in the north with a population size of less than 400,000.
This IMU is free to all physicians in Iceland, Members and Fellows of RCPE and all trainees.
Delegates will have the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers which will be addressed live at the event taking place at 5.30 - 7.30pm (Iceland) / 6.30 - 8.30pm (UK)
This online event allows the opportunity for delegates to watch the presentations live, or at their convenience for up to 28 days following the original broadcast. Delegates can continue to register for on-demand access only after the live event has taken place. Please note that access closes 28 days after the original broadcast, not after the point of booking.
