Join the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh for the next in our series of online International Medical Updates (IMU), and this first time event from South Africa where we bring together expert speakers to discuss infectious diseases.
South Africa has the highest number of people living with HIV infection, as such opportunistic infections can be a challenge to manage. With more and more patients accessing antiretroviral therapy, the epidemiology and clinical expression of these diseases is changing; this is of relevance to every clinician, irrespective of where they are based. We have thus invited three experts in this field to discuss HIV and associated infections to give us up to date developments on the management of these conditions.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Professor Mashiko Setshedi, RCPE Regional Adviser from South Africa for her support in developing this event.
This IMU is free to all physicians in South Africa, Members and Fellows of RCPE and all trainees.
Delegates will have the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers which will be addressed live at the event.
This online event allows the opportunity for delegates to watch the presentations live, or at their convenience for up to 28 days following the original broadcast. Delegates can continue to register for on-demand access only after the live event has taken place. Please note that access closes 28 days after the original broadcast, not after the point of booking.
