We have an exciting programme coming up for the conference! Highlights include:

Training Session focusing on updates on guidelines and cases
Dedicated case presentations
Scientific Abstracts
Keynote lecture by Professor John McMurray on ‘Heart Failure management’
Dedicated session on ‘New approaches to basic cardiovascular science and imaging’

For active SCS members, attendance is £40 per day with an additional fee to attend the Society dinner. We hope to see as many there as possible!

Scottish Cardiac Society Membership

Membership is £50 a year (£25 for nurses, AHPs, physiologists) and is currently open to Physicians, Surgeons, Consultants, Specialty Registrars, Physiologists/Clinician Scientists or Allied Health Professionals whose primary interest is in the practice of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery or in research in these and allied subjects.

Benefits include discounted rates at all SCS events, access to the Scottish Medical Journal and ability to apply for travel grants to attend other SCS or Cardiology events.

If you would like to apply to join the Society, please complete the following online form (link) or go to the SCS website (link). To apply you must provide the name of a colleague who is an active member of the SCS to support your application. Membership fees are payable by direct debit.

There are discretionary funds available to assist with travel to and from Spring and Autumn SCS Meetings for SCS members. Application should be made in writing to: scs.admin@rcpe.ac.uk.

All relevant events are approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To receive a CPD certificate delegates must have completed the online feedback survey.

Certificates cannot be issued after the survey has closed.
