Scottish Society of Rheumatology Autumn Meeting 2022
We are pleased to announce that the Scottish Society of Rheumatology Autumn meeting is now open for registration and abstract submission. The meeting will be fully face-to-face and is being held on 27th-28th October at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro. A number of experts from around the UK have agreed to speak at the meeting leading to a broad programme which we hope contains something for all members of the rheumatology MDT. This year’s Watson Buchanan Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Professor Robert Moots, University of Liverpool, on Behcet’s Syndrome. The meeting also incorporates the Scottish Osteoporosis Specialist Network meeting. The Society Dinner will take place in the hotel on Thursday night and we are delighted that Professor Sir Gregor Smith, Chief Medical Officer at the Scottish Government, has kindly agreed to present the after dinner speech about his experiences of leading the Scottish NHS’ response to COVID19
Following the rigours of the COVID19 pandemic, we hope that you will see this meeting as an opportunity to not only attend some high quality, state-of-the-art lectures but to also enjoy catching up with old friends and colleagues in a relaxed and comfortable setting. To encourage attendance by colleagues from throughout the rheumatology MDT there is no registration fee for any of the educational sessions. There is a fee to attend the Society Dinner.
Registration is now open - Click 'Book Now' above to register

We welcome submissions from across the whole breadth of rheumatology and its sub-speciality interests and from all members of the rheumatology MDT (including students). Topics can be related to original clinical, scientific, service development or quality improvement work. Anonymised abstracts will be scored by a committee and the highest scoring will be invited as oral presentations.
Abstracts should be submitted using the abstract template to ssrabstracts@gmail.com. The deadline for abstract submission is Monday 19th September.
Selected abstracts will be presented as either oral or poster presentation during the meeting on Friday 28th October. Prizes will be awarded for the best oral presentation, best poster and best student presentation
