Overview
The Evening Medical Update (EMU) from Tuesday 27 April 2021 will cover 'Hints on Haematology' (see Programme for further details).
The Evening Medical Updates programme covers specialties, presentations and conditions included within the Internal Medicine Training (IMT) curriculum. Within these, we aim to cover topics from a range of clinical settings including the acute medical take, outpatients department, community care and critical care. We also have two non-clinical evening updates covering a range of topics.
Topics are covered in monthly updates between September and June of each academic year. Each EMU session consists of three 30-minute presentations.
Although aimed primarily at core trainees, Evening Medical Updates are open to all hospital doctors, GPs, other healthcare professionals, and medical students.
This Evening Medical Update will be delivered entirely online as recordings for individual access. We have asked all speakers to record their talks in advance. Delegates will be able to submit questions via Slido and we will ask speakers to address the most popular questions retrospectively and we will post the responses on our EMU pages.
Talks will be available to view on-demand from 18:30 on 27 April 2021 for 28 days. Due to these exceptional circumstances, external CPD credits will continue to be issued for individual access in the same way as it is for attending at a live-link site or at the College in Edinburgh.
