Overview

Join us at the cutting-edge of history of medicine research where new ideas and discoveries collide with traditional thought and theory. At this event you’ll get the opportunity to hear our McCarthy Award finalists present their exciting pieces of research. A panel of esteemed judges, including Dr Allan Beveridge, a leading psychiatrist, author and lecturer, and chair Dr Richard Barnett, himself an award-winning author, will preside.

Whilst the judges deliberate you will have the chance to view some of the fascinating items from the College’s historic collections and enjoy complimentary refreshments before the winner is announced. Come along and encourage a new generation of medical historians.
