In response to the Shape of Training report (2013) the early physicianly training programme is being changed from Core Medical Training to Internal Medicine Training. The applications for Internal Medicine training occurred in November and the first trainees will commence training within the programme in August. The Trainees and Members’ Committee have been involved in the development of the curriculum since its inception. This evening session will give a thorough overview of the Internal Medicine programme highlighting the changes compared to Core Medical Training, the progression points and assessments. There will also be a period of time for questions so we would encourage questions to be sent to trainees@rcpe.ac.uk that can be answered during the session.
The session will take place from 18.30 to 19.00, immediately before the ‘Fits and Seizures’ Evening Medical Update starts. Delegates are most welcome to also attend the ‘Fits and Seizures’ Evening Medical Update, if you would like to attend the Evening Medical Update please register here.
Please note that this event is not CPD accredited and so CPD certificates will not be issued for this event. CPD certificates will be issued for the ‘Fits and Seizures’ Evening Medical Update which follows this event.
This session is held at the College in Edinburgh but is streamed live to a number of other centres around the UK and further afield (see Live Links for the current list of venues).
